“I honestly can say that much of my success is attributed to my time spent at the Academy. The relationships I formed while I was there will be ones that I continue to carry in both my personal life and professional career.”

Founder/CEO, Under Armour FUMA Class of 1992

WHAT SETS US APART

While we welcome and respect students of all religious backgrounds, the Academy is a Christian school where faith in God is central to our mission and daily life. Our values and teachings are rooted in Christian principles, fostering a strong moral foundation for our students.

Our distinctive One Subject Plan academic schedule allows for deep, focused learning by dedicating extended time to a single subject at a time. This approach ensures individualized attention, maximizes comprehension, and helps each student reach their full academic potential.

To further support student success, we limit cell phone and screen time, encouraging stronger academic focus, meaningful in-person interactions, and the development of essential communication skills. By fostering a distraction-free environment, we help students engage more fully in their studies and personal growth.

“At Fork Union I gained the discipline I needed. I took care of myself. I practiced my faith. I learned how to be a roommate and a friend. Most important, I learned that I could do anything I set my mind to. Fork Union changed my life.”

WHAT SETS US APART

Recognized globally for our exceptional athletics program, Fork Union has a rich tradition of developing world-class athletes. We have produced Olympians in track and swimming, two Heisman Trophy winners, and hundreds of NCAA Division I athletes across a wide range of sports. Our legacy extends to the professional level, with dozens of alumni excelling in basketball, tennis, baseball, and football—including more than 120 NFL players.

Our rigorous training, emphasis on discipline, and commitment to character development prepare student-athletes not only for competition at the highest levels but also for success beyond sports. At Fork Union, we don’t just build athletes—we shape leaders who carry the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity into every aspect of their lives.
